Volunteer

Change a young person's life -- and your own -- by volunteering to help AFJ enrich the lives of at-risk teens.
Volunteer, Donna Irwin
Donna Irwin volunteers every week as an assistant at the AFJ art class.

Volunteers are an essential part of the AFJ program and past volunteers have helped our youth with their school work, preparing for the New York State's Regents exams, and the college admissions process. Additionally, we are looking to expand our programing for our youth so if you have an interest you would like to develop into projects for our youth, please share them with us!

Volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks, including:

East Harlem Center
Avenues for Justice is currently seeking volunteers for our participants in the East Harlem center.
